Hope
Woke up in the morning, sun shining through the sky
A new day and a new beginning to try
Thoughts of yesterday’s failure zipping through my mind
A new treasure waits today, only to find
The pain stayed as an unwelcome guest almost forever
Left behind a wounded man floating through the river
The river meandering through the province of hope
Gives new life to me, many a problems to cope
Today is my stage and me, it’s only performer
The world my audience and my only reformer
Stumbling onto the stage, I had to play my role
The judge ever kind sent me on a parole
Left the prison called earth, to a seat next to the judge
Only to discover that he was none but myself
For we are the best judges of our own actions
Let’s never try splitting humanity into factions
A brand new dawn will awake us all
From the deep abyss to the mountains so tall
Light and hope will fill empty spaces and many a gap
To draw faith from a perennial tap
